في إجتماع المجمع المقدس للكنيسة القبطية الارثوذكسية المنعقد يوم ١٨ مايو ٢.١٨، تم الإعتراف بدير مارجرجس للراهبات بأيرلندا ليكون اول دير قبطي للراهبات معترف به رسمياً في أوروبا
On the 18th May 2018, the Holy Synod officially declared St. George’s Abbey in Ireland as the first formally recognised Coptic Orthodox Abbey in Europe.
